Food Terminal: Order Right, or Wonder What the Hype Is
Walked into Food Terminal and immediately clocked the vibe: huge space, warehouse feel, plenty of seating. No issues there.
Then you get the menu, and it’s borderline ridiculous. 56 pages. If you don’t come in with a plan, good luck.
What hit (and what didn’t)
Crispy, not greasy, not overly chewy. Texture nailed. Flavor? Kind of muted. The sweet-and-sour sauce did most of the heavy lifting.
Roti was solid. Curry chicken… not so much. The sauce lacked depth and sweetness, which made the whole thing feel forgettable.
This is the one. The BBQ pork was legit, but the texture of the cheung fun steals it: soft, slightly chewy, somewhere between tofu and noodles. If you care about texture, this hits. Best dish I had, no contest.
Cute, small, and $14. It tasted fine, but nothing about it justified the price.
Bottom line
Food Terminal is one of those places where:
- Order wrong“What’s the hype?”
- Order right“Okay, I get it.”
I went to the Buford Highway location, but they’ve also got spots in Alpharetta and Sandy Springs.
Would I go back? Yes, but smarter. That menu is too deep to judge off one visit, and there’s clearly better stuff hiding in those 56 pages.
